What You'll Be Doing
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines with FANUC controls
- Interpret technical drawings and modify programmes to part specifications
- Select and install cutting tools, attachments, and fixtures
- Conduct quality control inspections using micrometers, gauges, and verniers
- Monitor operations and troubleshoot cutting conditions
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes
What We're Looking For
- Minimum three years' experience as time-served CNC Operator/Setter Turner preferably with knowledge of Doosan/ Mori Seiki machines
- FANUC experience and capable of setting machines for a variety of components
- Experience producing complex components to very tight tolerances
- Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision
- Qualified Advanced Modern Apprenticeship or recognised time-served certification
- Knowledge of metal cutting techniques and Lean principles
- Flexibility to work rotating shift pattern and overtime when required
- Knowledge of Doosan VMC/HMC would be advantageous
What We Offer
- Salary: £17.75 - £19.00 per hour (plus premium overtime rates - overtime available)
