Job Description Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to the recipes and standards set by the head/sous chef; ensuring food safety standards are adhered to at all times
  • Station Support – assist with the production of all food items assigned to your station and maintain your designated area with supplies, ensuring cleanliness in line with policies and procedures under supervision
  • Quality Control – maintain high quality standards for all food handled, following guidance on presentation and taste standards set by senior chefs
  • Team Collaboration – communicate effectively with all team members and provide support to colleagues as directed; follow instructions from head/sous chef and senior kitchen staff
  • Cleaning and Maintenance – maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen as instructed, reporting any equipment issues to senior staff for resolution

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working as a Commis Chef or display a real passion for food
  • Knowledge of some cooking techniques and cuisines
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Works according to the Holroyd Howe core values
