We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Assistant with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious education settings. This prestigious, international 7 day operation boarding school caters for 517 day pupils as well as 387 boarders and staff and includes not only a breakfast, lunch and supper service but also an extensive hospitality service.
As a General Assistant you will:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
- Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
- Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Ideally have experience working within Education catering.
- Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
- Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.
