We are seeking an experienced Food Service Assistant/General Assistant/Catering Assistant to join our team at Charterhouse in Godalming. The role involves providing breakfast, lunch and dinner services to students, staff and guests seven days a week, ensuring all meals meet the high standards expected by our independent school.
Job Description
- Serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to students, staff and guests 7 days a week.
- Work flexible shifts, primarily evenings with a typical pattern of 12:30–20:30; 5 out of 7 days per week.
- Enjoy every third weekend off and time off during Christmas and New Year.
- Provide free meals during duty and receive full uniform and access to an onsite gym at a reduced annual rate (≈ £50).

- Participate in training and development programmes and potential HIT Apprenticeships.
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming kitchen environment, supporting sustainable sourcing and nutrition-driven meal preparation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in catering or food service is an advantage but not essential. Full training will be provided.
- Candidates must be willing to adapt to flexible working patterns and have a genuine passion for creating delicious dining experiences for young minds.
