General Catering Assistant
Location: Dorking, Leatherhead
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days
Rate: Β£12.21 per hour
Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of food and snacks and serving meals.
  • Supporting hospitality services as required.
  • Ensuring kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Providing a friendly, efficient, and hygienic service to students, staff, and guests.
  • Collaborating with team members and undertaking duties in the kitchen and service areas to ensure smooth operations.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of food and snacks and serving meals.
  • Supporting hospitality services as required.
  • Ensuring kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Providing a friendly, efficient, and hygienic service to students, staff, and guests.
  • Collaborating with team members and undertaking duties in the kitchen and service areas to ensure smooth operations.


Qualifications

  • Experience in a catering or food service environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices (Level 1 Food Safety Certificate is a plus).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • A friendly, customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organisation in a fast-paced environment.
