About the role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Front of House Manager to oversee the smooth delivery of service at Haileybury School. Working closely with the catering and kitchen teams, you’ll ensure every customer enjoys a warm welcome, exceptional service, and high-quality food presentation. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who thrives in a busy hospitality environment and enjoys leading a team to deliver excellence. Haileybury School is set in a beautiful campus and is a 7-day operation where we offer a breakfast, lunch and supper service for borders as well as day pupils and staff. We are seeking a part-time Manager to work at the weekend on varying shifts which will be term time only. We can be flexible on hours and whether one or two days.
You will be joining Holroyd Howe, one of the UK’s leading contract caterers, providing fresh, innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges. We are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision specifically to suit children of all ages in order to meet the bespoke requirements of each school. Our mission is simple: To provide our teams with the right skills to succeed in their jobs; we invest in their training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver excellent service
- Maintain high standards of food presentation and dining area cleanliness
- Ensure all hospitality events run smoothly and professionally
- Monitor and respond to customer feedback in a positive and proactive way
- Support with ordering, stock control, and record keeping
- Uphold all food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures
Qualifications:
- Experience in a front-of-house or customer service supervisory role
- Strong leadership and people skills, with a positive and approachable manner
- Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and written
- Well-organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
- Knowledge of food safety and allergen management procedures
- Passionate about hospitality and delivering a great customer experience
