We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced food service assistant / general assistant / catering assistant with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious independent school settings. If you are passionate about creating delicious dining experiences that fuel young minds and ignite taste buds, then this is the perfect opportunity to bring your expertise to our table.

Location: Godalming, Surrey, UK, GU7 2DX. The school operates breakfast, lunch, supper and extensive hospitality service 7 days a week. We have every 3rd weekend off and are closed over Christmas and New Year.

Shift Pattern: 1200-2030; 1230-2030 for evening staff; 5 out of 7 day job. Morning and evening shifts, flexible working required.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to students, staff and guests 7 days a week.
  • Prepare and present meals in line with sustainability and nutrition standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of dining areas and kitchen.
  • Assist in menu planning, theme days and food theatre events.

Qualifications:

  • Experience is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Enhanced DBS, including a Barred List check, required for all successful applicants.
  • References required; appointment contingent on satisfactory professional references.

We offer a full uniform, free meals while on duty, free car parking, access to the onsite gym at a reduced cost (£50 per year). Pension scheme and career development opportunities are available.
