Our Finance and Accounting department is instrumental in supporting our business with the information it needs to make strategic decisions enabling us to do what we do best.
We are pleased to offer a unique opportunity for a VAT Associate to join our growing in-house tax team. This role is an integral part of supporting the Indirect Tax Manager with their VAT compliance obligations across European countries, leveraging tax technology solutions and playing a key role in day-to-day operations and process improvement.
What To Expect: Preparing periodic UK and European VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submissionHandling monthly Intrastat and ESCL reporting for European VAT registrationsPerforming pre- and post-submission audit checksReconciling VAT returns to balance sheet and other returnsMaintaining complete indirect tax recordsCollaborating with stakeholders within the wider finance team and across the businessEngaging in automation initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency of the indirect tax functionAssisting with both internal and external auditsWhat We Expect: Part-qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with a keen interest in pursuing a career in VATA foundational understanding of VAT, with direct experience in the field (desirable but not essential)Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelPractical experience with Oracle or other ERP system would be an advantageExperience in a multinational accounting organisation would be an assetStrong communication and organizational skillsMeticulous attention to detailAbility to work independentlyResilience to time pressureAdaptability to changeA genuine desire to learn, develop and contribute to Hologic's successPersistence to drive and deliver resultsWhy Hologic: Make a tangible difference in healthcare, improving the lives of people across the EMEA region.

Salary: 40,000 – 50,000 gross per year. The final offer will depend on experience, skills, and alignment with internal pay structures. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including pension and insurances.#LI-RH1
