Overview
Field Service Engineer to support Breast and Skeletal Health medical imaging equipment across London.
Requires electrical/mechanical engineering experience, willingness to travel, and a passion for troubleshooting and finding solutions.
Role involves installation, repair, service, maintenance, or enhancement of hardware and/or software products with a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install instruments at customer sites and perform maintenance, repair, service, maintenance, or enhancement of hardware and/or software products.
- Liaise with customer IT departments and assist with information systems installations and troubleshooting.
- Carry out maintenance and repair work on Hologic products.
- Support marketing activities such as exhibitions.
- Complete administrative work, including but not limited to: Time Reports, Expense Reports, Equipment Site Assessments, Inventory Reports, Equipment Checklists, and Field Service Reports.
- Provide basic use and maintenance training to customers.
- Perform duties with autonomy in a field-based environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Experience working in similar customer-based or laboratory environments.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to accurately diagnose issues as described over the phone by Field Service Engineers/customers.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; basic knowledge of networks and interfacing with the ability to progress through training.
Qualifications
- Engineering experience (electrical/mechanical) with field service experience preferred.
