Catering Supervisor to join the Steam Team at Whistlestop Valley
We are looking to recruit a dynamic newCatering Supervisorto join the Steam Team at Whistlestop Valley.
Our catering section for the business currently comprises of the Firebox café at Clayton West and the Turntable Ice Cream Parlour at Shelley station.
The railway operates a vibrant special events programme in which the catering section takes an active and integral role, we also host private functions and provide food for our children’s birthday parties.
We are looking for someone who…
- Has experience in the catering industry
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and health and safety for all who work in or visit the catering facilities in accordance with current legislation
- Follow food safety procedure in line with current Food Standards Agency Policy
- Demonstrate a willingness to work as part of a team to deliver a first-rate visitor experience
- Can monitor and order stock, reducing waste and keep to a budget
Desirable qualities would be
Experience with Food Hygiene inspections
Allergy awareness
We will be willing to support the successful candidate in further relevant training.
The candidate must be available to work weekends and be flexible during school holidays. Full time 32 hours a week, overtime during busy periods will be available. Rate of pay depending on experience.
