An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Solicitor or Senior Chartered Legal Executive to join our well‑established team in Braintree. The role has become available due to retirement within the team, allowing you to take over an established case load and generate new relationships in the residential property sector. You will receive multi‑level support in growing your client base within this well‑established region.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a varied caseload encompassing the full cycle of residential property transaction including sales, purchases, re‑mortgages, transfers of equity, transfers of part, deeds of easement, variation or release and small development sales.
  • Provide high‑quality conveyancing and residential property work under minimal supervision.
  • Mentor and supervise junior colleagues, contributing to client development and supporting junior team members.
  • Actively engage in business development, marketing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Collaborate with the management group at the senior associate level, contributing to business planning and senior projects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ideally you will be a qualified solicitor (or Senior Chartered Legal Executive) with at least 6 years PQE in residential property and land law, gained at a reputable regional or national firm.
  • Expertise in purchases and sales, transfers of equity, re‑mortgages, equity release, transfers of part, trust transfers and estate planning work, bridging and non‑regulated finance matters.
  • Demonstrated track record in delivering high quality conveyancing and residential property work.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior colleagues.
