Due to growth, we are recruiting a Probate Lawyer (around 3 years PQE) based at Braintree. The role is open to full or part-time working patterns. The Braintree office is a well-established Private Client hub. You will work alongside a Senior Associate managing an existing caseload while developing it further, and alongside our Private Client team which includes Fee Earners, Will Drafters, a Tax Specialist and a strong legal support team.
Responsibilities
- Managing a full caseload of probate and estate administration matters, from start to finish.
- Assisting clients in fixed-fee interviews where appropriate.
- Working with the commercial team to answer queries on estate administration issues.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal procedures.
- Supervising and supporting junior staff where appropriate.
- Assisting with business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Contributing to the growth and reputation of the Private Client department.
Experience & Qualifications
- Solicitor or Legal Executive with 1–3 years PQE dealing with estate administration.
- A solid understanding of administering estates.
- Experience with Inheritance Tax calculations.
