We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled time served Mechanical Fitter to join our in-house maintenance team at our Hull-based tannery. If you possess the following skills in part or full, we would love to meet with you to discuss your career potential within our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out daily mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Responding to breakdowns and conducting repairs.
- Assisting with plant and machinery installation and commissioning.
- Carrying out preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Basic steel and stainless steel fabrications.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with liquid / chemical pumping systems (highly beneficial).
- Fabrication and welding skills (highly beneficial).
- Experience with gearbox and bearing assemblies (highly beneficial).
- Electrical knowledge or experience (beneficial but not essential).
- Forklift B1 Licence (beneficial).
