We’re looking for a proactive Sales & Marketing Executive to help drive bookings for our mobile outreach programme Zoo2U, and increase footfall at Holmes Chapel Zoo – our growing local zoo that’s dedicated to education, conservation, and community.

You’ll also support fundraising activity – from donor appeals to local sponsorships – helping ensure the zoo can continue delivering positive outcomes for animals and people alike. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a passionate team working to create something special. From school visits to family days out, your work will help deliver unforgettable experiences and raise vital funds for the animals in our care.

What You’ll Do:

  • Promote Holmes Chapel Zoo experiences, events and general visits through engaging campaigns
  • Grow Zoo2U bookings by contacting schools, care homes, nurseries and youth groups directly
  • Create and schedule social media content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and more
  • Develop marketing strategies and implement them independently
  • Support and develop fundraising efforts, including sponsorships, appeals, and donor campaigns
  • Collaborate with zoo staff to coordinate marketing plans and event promotion
  • Identify new revenue opportunities, partnerships and local collaborations
  • Manage printed marketing materials and their distribution locally
  • Track and review marketing performance to refine future strategies
  • Support email marketing, customer follow-up, and public engagement

  • A self-starter who can take initiative and juggle multiple tasks with confidence
  • Excellent communication skills, both online and over the phone
  • A passion for sales, marketing, fundraising and social media with previous experience in similar roles
  • Organised, results-driven, and ready to go the extra mile to bring in bookings and visitors
  • Confident talking to schools, businesses and the public
  • A love for animals, education or the visitor attraction sector is a definite bonus!
