What does the day of a Staff Nurse look like?
As one of our Staff Nurses, you will lead the team, and will be involved in continuous assessments, planning and evaluation of the residents’ needs and wishes:
Providing excellent nursing care and support to our residents
Overseeing all aspects of medicine management and ensuring the safe administration of medication in accordance with NMC Standards
Creating and carrying out treatment plans
Offering a safe, caring and stable environment to the people we support
Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines
Support the Service Manager with key targets by promoting and practicing high standards of nursing care and ensuring staff and shifts are supervised in a smooth manner
Support, guide, teach and mentor other members of your team
Working individually and in partnership with the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home
To be considered for this role, you will need to hold a current registration with the NMC and have a relevant Nursing qualification. With a compassionate and caring attitude, you will have adequate knowledge, experience and a clear understanding of the nursing role and its professional boundaries.
