What does the day of a Laundry Assistant look like?
Our Laundry Assistants are responsible for ensuring that all items of residents’ personal clothing and linen are laundered and cleaned to the highest standards:
- Ensure items are appropriately separated and laundered according to washing/drying instructions
- Launder all linen, including bedding, tablecloths, towels, and soft furnishings as required
- Ensure personal items are collected and returned within a reasonable timescale to their owner
- Maintain the laundry area in a tidy and safe condition and notify the Housekeeper of any safety hazards or defective equipment
- Perform general cleaning duties as required
- Develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff, and visitors by becoming an important part of the team
