What does the day of a Cook look like?

Our Cooks play a key role in serving nutritious home cooked meals, whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety.

  • Producing varied, tasty menus for our residents, considering individual dietary requirements
  • Providing special diets where necessary
  • Cleaning and washing up after meals and ensuring the kitchen is clean
  • Preparing and serving meals
  • Guiding and coaching the kitchen team
  • Stock control; stock replenishing/ordering
  • Managing Food Health and Safety requirements, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and up to date

To be considered for this role you will need to have experience working as a Cook, with the ability to accommodate a variety of dietary requirements. You should hold all the relevant qualifications and Food Hygiene Certificates, and be aware of all relevant regulations.
