A Day in the Life of a Care Home Assistant Practitioner:
As a naturally caring and compassionate individual, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centered care:
- Work independently and as part of a team, assisting the Service Manager to ensure the effective running of the service.
- Support registered nursing staff to meet the clinical care needs of residents, including complex situations under supervision.
- In the absence of a Registered Nurse, take charge of a service or unit, making clinical decisions within your scope of competence.
- Undertake routine assessments, treatments, and interventions independently, following protocols, evidence-based practices, guidelines, and policies.
- Assess, plan, and implement person-centered care considering the physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs of residents, managing associated risks within your scope of competence.
