Our paperboard is an integral part of the shopping experience for our clientsâ customers. Since 2013 we have powered the mill almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy. Our integrated pulp and paperboard mill is located to the west of the beautiful Lake District in the north of England.
Your future challenge: We are seeking applications from experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Craftspersons to join our skilled team. The successful applicants will be part of a daywork rota system (Monday to Friday) whereby a generous holiday allowance of ten days leave every 7.5 weeks is built into the rota. The function of the engineering department is to provide engineering resources to carry out preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance for all areas of the site, and also to provide expertise in most engineering disciplines to carry out plant modifications.
Reporting To The E/I Manager, The Successful Candidate Will:
- Adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures and engineering standards;
- Maintain the mill in an optimum and safe condition;
- Use the engineering management system to source parts/information and select and report history in work orders;
- Diagnose faults and take action to rectify them;
- Adhere to the permit to work/isolation system;
- Work safely within safety and skill remit.
The successful Craftsperson will possess:
- A recognised Engineering apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 Minimum);
- A minimum of one yearâs practical experience in a process industry;
- Be computer literate with knowledge of âWindows Officeâ suite;
- Working knowledge of Plant Management databases;
- Appropriate Health and Safety training â preferred IOSH Working Safety (minimum).
