Holmen Board and Paper, part of the Holmen Group, operates the Workington Mill in the north of England producing premium paperboard under the Incada brand.
The mill is powered almost entirely by fossil‑fuel free energy.
We are looking for an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Craftsperson to join our skilled team.
The role is part of a day‑work rota system (Monday‑Friday) with a generous holiday allowance of ten days leave every 7.5 weeks.
- Role Responsibilities
- Adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures and engineering standards;
- Maintain the mill in an optimum and safe condition;
- Use the engineering management system to source parts/information and select and record history in work orders;
- Diagnose faults and take action to rectify them;
- Adhere to the permit‑to‑work / isolation system;
- Work safely within safety and skill remit.
- Required Qualifications
- A recognised Engineering apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 minimum);
- A minimum of one year’s practical experience in a process industry;
- Be computer literate with knowledge of the Windows Office suite;
- Working knowledge of plant management databases;
- Appropriate health and safety training – preferred IOSH Working Safety (minimum).
