We are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant who can support the learning of children with SEND. There will also be opportunities to work more generally within the class, supporting small groups and individuals.

Responsibilities
  • Work with individual children, including children with SEND and EHCPs.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Prepare learning materials and adapt teaching support according to children's needs.
  • Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare, including first aid duties.
  • Be creative and innovative.
  • Maintain high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
  • Promote and uphold the school values and ethos.
  • Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs.
  • Motivate and passionately achieve the very best for the children in our care.
  • Use initiative to assess and evaluate pupils' needs.
  • Lead intervention groups.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience working with children with a range of needs, including SEND.
  • Dedicated to enabling children to achieve their personal best.
  • Flexible, positive, outgoing, caring and nurturing approach.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Must be able to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

The SEND TA role is advertised as 15 hours per week. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
