We’re excited to be recruiting for Plant & Ancillary Engineering Support roles within our growing Vehicle Build Team at Holman UK. These permanent positions offer a salary of £45,000–£50,000 per year plus a Company Car and are based remotely. The role will support either the North or South of the UK depending on your location. The position is predominantly field‑based, but during the first six months you will spend time in one of our offices when not on the road. You must be comfortable travelling anywhere in the UK on short notice and working autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our maintenance and specialist vehicle teams, using your technical knowledge to proactively prevent vehicle downtime.
  • Manage and conduct site visits and technical investigations as required.
  • Support the vehicle build team with day‑to‑day vehicle build activities.
  • Support vendor relationships to reduce downtime and meet BT’s SLA’s.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ideally you will have workshop knowledge and demonstrable, detailed knowledge of motor‑vehicle mechanics, including HGV and ancillary equipment.
  • You should be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Knowledge of vehicle compliance requirements and an understanding of the necessity of vehicles and equipment being compliant is expected.
  • A driving licence is essential.
  • Experience in a workshop environment, HGV/plant experience, vehicle recovery, breakdown call‑out or similar.
  • Experience working within a team in an office environment.
  • Adept at computer use and familiar with Microsoft applications.
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask with consistency and accuracy.
  • Highly organized, managing multiple work‑streams effectively.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a structured, methodical manner.
  • Strong administration skills with the ability to organise and prioritise workload.
  • Collaborative, proactive and dynamic approach.
  • Committed to finding solutions, with initiative and common sense.
