Part-time (28 hours per week) D&I Executive sought to focus on programme delivery, employee engagement, network support and internal communications. The firm’s global Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) strategy is built around six pillars that guide our priorities, support consistency across regions and teams, and help us drive meaningful and measurable change. The Diversity & Inclusion Executive plays a key role in the delivery of HFW’s global D&I strategy, working closely with the Senior D&I Manager, employee network chairs and senior stakeholders across the firm.
The role has a strong focus on programme delivery, employee engagement, network support and internal communications, operating with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. It is well suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple initiatives, building trusted relationships and turning strategy into meaningful, high quality action.
Key responsibilities- Support the delivery of London-based and global D&I initiatives, campaigns and events aligned to the firm’s D&I priorities.
- Draft and co-ordinate D&I-related internal communications, including event announcements, intranet content and presentations.
- Support the development of D&I content for external use, including website content, recruitment materials, firm publications, and social media content.
- Support delivery of key social mobility initiatives, including our work experience and scholarship programmes.
- Respond to internal D&I‑related queries and requests, exercising sound judgement and escalating where appropriate.
- Support the Senior D&I Manager with communications with clients, vendors and external D&I partner organisations.
- Monitor external developments and best practice in D&I within the legal profession and professional services environment.
- Act as a primary point of contact for HFW’s employee networks, providing guidance, co-ordination and operational support.
- Build strong relationships with network chairs and working group members, supporting effective governance and delivery.
- Support networks with planning activities, events, and communications, ensuring alignment with firm priorities and policies.
- Work with networks and stakeholders to co-ordinate key annual inclusion events (e.g. Pride, Black History Month, Social Mobility Day, International Women’s Day), ensuring consistent, inclusive and high‑quality delivery across offices.
- Co-ordinate network meetings, materials and outputs, including collaboration between networks.
- Demonstrable experience supporting or delivering diversity, inclusion, engagement or people‑focused initiatives in a professional services or corporate environment.
- Proactive and results‑focused, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivery.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Confident communicator with strong written skills and the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
- Experience working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of discretion, professionalism and attention to detail.
- Experience supporting employee networks or inclusion forums.
- Experience co-ordinating events and campaigns.
- Familiarity with the legal or professional services environment.
- Flexible regarding working hours (normal office hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm however, some events are held outside normal working hours).
