We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a Portfolio & Programme Delivery Manager (Fleet Technology Change & Transformation) to lead our growing Project Management Office here at Holman UK in a permanent full-time position.

This role will be based out of our HQ in Chippenham with the opportunity for hybrid working.

The salary for this role will be circa £75,000 p. a. depending on experience, plus Company car.

As Head of Portfolio and Project Management, you will lead the governance, prioritisation and delivery oversight of Holman's UK technology change portfolio.

Acting as a key partner to senior leadership, you will oversee demand and change management processes, manage a team of Project Managers, and ensure effective portfolio planning, reporting and governance.

You will also serve as the primary UK liaison with the US PMO, driving alignment across UK and Group initiatives, while directly leading the delivery of strategic programmes, including the Telematics programme and its associated workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • To lead the Project Management, Implementation and Systems Configuration teams by providing: Strategic direction, goal setting and being accountable for the team’s output; Building trust and credibility with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to continue growth and continuous improvement of the team.
  • Develop and oversee team members, managing workload and conducting performance reviews.
  • Support personal and career development of all team partners.
  • Guide the team in communication, project management, customer service excellence, and analysis skills.
  • To set Project Management strategy and methodology within the business by: Creating, implementing and embedding change governance and process; Establishing and administering the Project Steering Group, and facilitating project prioritisation decision‑making; Training and communicating change methodology to all levels of the business; Developing and coaching Change Champions within each relevant team.
  • Allocation of Project Management resource of all approved projects
  • Advise and drive best practice standards through the team
  • Where required lead and/or support direct reports on project governance and delivery
  • Lead on complex change and transformative projects as agreed with the Senior Leadership Team
  • Embed synergy, governance and ways of working between the Project Management Office (PMO) and Implementation team, ensuring goals KPI’s and continuous improvement is achieved.
  • Oversee and manage a closed feedback loop on all projects to provide tangible ‘lessons learned’ feedback, implementing these into business practices.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus 5+ years’ experience, including 2+ at a leadership level
  • Breadth and depth of technical or functional expertise in own area of responsibility or department; may be acquiring knowledge of other related areas of departments
  • Experience in developing and implementing processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy, adhering to approved budgets
  • Strong leadership skills and experience
  • Management expertise to set direction, resolve problems and provide guidance to employees in own area of responsibility or department
  • Manages team projects and project plans through to successful execution
  • Influencing / providing input to forecasting and planning resources; including managing allocated budget
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, counselling, negotiation and presentation skills
