The predicted salary is between 40000 - 45000 £ per year.

Location: HQ, Chippenham (Hybrid working). Duration: 6 months. Salary: circa £40,000–£45,000 p.a.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Management – lead and supervise day‑to‑day activities, balance workloads, conduct 1:1s, reviews and appraisals, provide coaching, act as escalation point, foster a positive, collaborative culture.
  • Operational Oversight – monitor SLAs & KPIs, manage open items across ledgers, oversee matching & clearance of Direct Debits and Faster Payments, maintain BT vendor oversight, support daily close and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
  • Financial Control & Accuracy – investigate and resolve discrepancies with the GL team, keep ledgers accurate and clean, support readiness for SAP migration by improving data quality and controls.
  • SAP Transition & Change – support the Finance Manager in leading the team through SAP implementation, embed new processes and ways of working, encourage team engagement during transition.
  • Analysis & Reporting – support reporting and analysis requirements, provide insights to improve team performance and financial processes.

Qualifications

  • Essential – Strong background in transactional finance; experience supervising or managing a team; understanding of reconciliations, controls and ledger management; ability to manage workload, deadlines and competing priorities; strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Desirable – Experience with SAP (preferred but not essential); experience supporting system or process change; personal attributes: positive, proactive, solution‑oriented; strong people manager with ability to handle difficult situations; resilient and adaptable in changing environments; collaborative and supportive team player.
