We are looking for a director to join our growing team. Partnering with our CFO and senior stakeholders across the UK and Canada, shaping performance reporting, strengthening group consolidation, and delivering the insight that supports Executive and Board decision making. This is a newly created opportunity within a growing FTSE 250 finance function, designed to elevate how we plan, forecast and report across the Group and to support major strategic initiatives including M&A and investor engagement. You’ll be a trusted, visible voice at the top table clear, commercially minded, and confident translating complex financials into compelling narratives and actionable direction.
Responsibilities
- Support the CFO with group consolidation and deliver timely, accurate and insightful consolidated management and Board reporting
- Lead strategic planning for long‑range planning, budgeting and forecasting across the Group
- Provide high‑quality analysis, modelling and scenario planning to support strategic decisions
- Contribute to M&A activity: acquisition modelling, due diligence support and post‑acquisition performance tracking
- Support Investor Relations with analysis, performance narratives and supporting materials
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO, Senior Leadership Team and PLC Board
- Influence and challenge senior stakeholders constructively, even without direct line management
- Help foster a culture of continuous improvement, curiosity and high performance
Qualifications
- Experience in FP&A, commercial finance or group reporting (direct FP&A experience preferred)
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem‑solving capability
- Ability to blend technical excellence with commercial insight and clear, confident communication
- Comfortable in a visible, high‑impact role with senior stakeholders
- Ambition to build a long‑term career — with a trajectory toward a future CFO role
