The Governing Board of Hollyfield Primary School arelooking to appoint a dedicated and motivated individual to work in our busyschool; someone who can promote our school’s friendly and welcoming ethos.
We wish to appoint permanent Lunchtime supervisor who is enthusiasticabout children and have a caring, nurturing approach.
The applicant must befriendly, calm, with the ability to be assertive and control play and pupilbehaviour when required.
The successful applicant must be able to communicate effectively withpupils and staff and be aware of Health & Safety issues surrounding lunchtime activities.
Qualifications in first aid would be desirable, althoughtraining may be available.
Responsibilities
- Workingas a team member to ensure the safe and enjoyable lunch break of children.
- Supervisingchildren while they are eating their meals.
- Encouragingpositive behaviour in accordance with the School's Behaviour Policy.
- Organisingappropriate equipment and activities for the children.
- Supportingand encouraging all pupils to participate in lunchtime activities.
- Itis desirable that applicants have previous skills and abilities of workingwith young children, but this is not essential.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and, therefore, the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for the role.
