Hours: 06:00 – 15:00 or 07:00 – 16:00

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Manager on behalf of a well-established and expanding business based in Cannock. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of a busy transport function and play a key role in delivering operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring efficient planning and on-time deliveries
  • Lead, support, and manage a team of drivers to maintain high performance standards
  • Ensure full compliance with transport regulations, including tachographs and operator licensing
  • Manage vehicle availability, servicing schedules, and defect reporting
  • Conduct driver briefings, debriefings, and ensure accurate delivery documentation
  • Respond effectively to operational issues such as delays or vehicle breakdowns
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements where required
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a smooth and reliable service
About You
  • Previous experience in a Transport or Logistics Management role
  • Strong working knowledge of UK transport legislation and compliance requirements
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
  • Confident decision-maker with excellent problem-solving ability
