Key Responsibilities
- Own the test laboratory — ensuring organisation, safety, equipment readiness, and calibration control.
- Maintain and troubleshoot production test equipment to support output, quality, and reliability.
- Design and build jigs, fixtures, and test aids to improve efficiency and repeatability.
- Develop and enhance test methods and processes for new and existing products.
- Support electro‑mechanical assembly including wiring, PCB integration, sensors, actuators, and troubleshooting.
- Drive automation opportunities to improve speed, consistency, and data capture.
- Analyse test data to identify trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Produce clear documentation including test procedures, work instructions, and fault‑finding guides.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years’ experience in production test, manufacturing engineering, or test development.
- Strong hands‑on electro‑mechanical skills with confident fault‑finding across electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Experience maintaining and improving test equipment and production tooling.
- Ability to design or modify jigs, fixtures, and test rigs.
- Competence with test instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and DAQ systems.
- Strong documentation and problem‑solving ability with the ability to read drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
