job type: Fixed term / Full-time
Sector and subsector: Housing | Housing Association
Annual Salary range:from £ 37,533.00 to £ 38,783.00
Role: Tenancy Resolutions Caseworker
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Worthing / Hybrid
At Worthing Homes, we are ambitious about being a brilliant landlord: one that listens, acts with fairness, invests in safe and well-managed homes, and builds trust with customers and communities. We provide homes and services for more than 10,000 residents across Worthing and the surrounding area, and we want every contact with us to feel professional, respectful and focused on getting the right outcome.
We are looking for a confident and values-led Tenancy Resolutions Caseworker to join our Neighbourhood Housing team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. This is a role for someone who can combine legal and procedural confidence with empathy, sound judgement and resilience. You will help us resolve complex tenancy and anti-social behaviour matters in a way that protects customers, supports thriving communities and reflects our commitment to doing the right thing.
About the role
As Tenancy Resolutions Caseworker, you will take ownership of a varied caseload involving complex tenancy matters, anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches and no-access compliance issues. You will assess risk, gather evidence, prepare clear case plans and use the most appropriate tools available to resolve issues fairly, proportionately and effectively.
You will work closely with customers, housing colleagues, solicitors, local authorities, community safety teams, police and other partner agencies. Where legal action is required, you will prepare robust documentation, instruct legal representatives and attend court or injunction hearings. Just as importantly, you will help colleagues think through complex situations, share your expertise and support a consistent, customer-focused approach across the organisation.
This is an opportunity to make a visible difference. Your work will help customers feel safer, reduce the impact of nuisance and tenancy breaches, strengthen confidence in our services and support neighbourhoods where people are proud to live.
About you
We are looking for someone who is calm under pressure, clear in their communication and confident making evidence-based decisions. You will bring experience of managing complex tenancy, compliance or anti-social behaviour cases, together with a good working knowledge of housing law, tenancy management and relevant ASB legislation.
You will be able to balance firmness with fairness, recognising the impact complex cases can have on customers while ensuring tenancy standards are upheld. You will be organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities, maintaining accurate records and progressing cases with pace and care.
Strong partnership working will be essential. You will be comfortable building trusted relationships with colleagues and external agencies, influencing others and contributing positively to multi‑agency responses. Experience of legal case preparation, community safety partnerships, ASB review processes or a relevant housing qualification would be an advantage.
Why work for us?
We want Worthing Homes to be a place where people do meaningful work, feel supported to grow and are trusted to make a difference. Our culture is collaborative, inclusive and grounded in respect. We value people who bring ideas, take responsibility, work well with others and care about the impact their work has on customers and communities.
We offer a range of benefits including:
- Contributory pension scheme, with company matching up to 6%
- 29 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
- Life assurance
- Retail and gym discounts
- Employee assistance programme
- Funded training and qualifications
- One paid professional subscription per year
We are committed to investing in our colleagues’ development through training, learning and skills development, helping everyone reach their potential and contribute to the success of Worthing Homes.
If you are an experienced housing professional who wants to resolve complex issues with fairness, confidence and compassion — and you are motivated by the chance to make communities safer and services stronger — we would love to hear from you.
Closing date: 23rd September 2026. First interviews will be held on 2nd October 2026 at Davison House, Worthing. We reserve the right to close this advert early if a suitable candidate is identified, so we recommend submitting your application as soon as possible.
