About the role

  • Maintain all open spaces under the direction of the Team Leader, including grass cutting, hedge cutting, border maintenance, gritting, leaf clearance, litter picking and general grounds upkeep.
  • Carry out all Grounds Team duties in line with the agreed work schedule, ensuring all areas are left clean and tidy on completion.
  • Respond to customer and internal requests for grounds maintenance in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work safely at all times, complying with relevant Health & Safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Operate vehicles, machinery and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Maintain accurate records, including work completed and inspections.
  • Ensure the depot and work areas are kept clean, organised and safe.

About You

  • Experience maintaining open spaces, gardens and play areas.
  • Good working knowledge of plants and landscaping practices.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues.
  • Basic IT skills for recording data and accessing work information.
  • Full UK driving licence.
