How the role will make an impact:

The job holder is responsible for all aspects of financial management on site including assisting in the production of monthly management accounts.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior management in making critical business decisions by analysing and presenting key financial data.
  • Assist with accounting procedures and assist with the preparation of forecasts, budgets and risk analysis.
  • Assume responsibility of cost accounting tasks and be both a strategist and decision maker.
  • Contribute to the decision‑making process of management that will ensure business growth and long‑term success.
  • Clear ability to work closely with operational stakeholders to measure, monitor and drive financial improvements within the business unit.
  • Assist with finance transformation activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly Management Account and Management Information packs to relevant reporting deadlines.
  • Support the Finance Manager in creating a strong and robust controls framework.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified in CIMA, ACCA or working towards a professional qualification.
  • Experience in using Hyperion Financial Management package would be an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel and Power‑point.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting.
  • Excellent knowledge of budgeting and forecasting.
  • Analytical mind.
  • Positive team player, working with all aspects of business to provide constructive challenges.
  • A strong inclination for and interest in system and process improvement.
  • The individual must be capable of using their initiative to propose improvements.
