Van Driver - Multi-Drop in Witham

Hours: Full-Time 50 hours per week (Day shift)/Monday to Friday

Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Drop Van Driver who is reliable and competent in handling multi-drop collections and deliveries of customers freight, in and around the London area.

Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:

• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery and collection driving.
• London driving experience would be a strong advantage, particularly within the M25 and London.
• Previous experience operating vehicles with curtain-side and tail-lift equipment would be highly desirable.
• Confident navigating busy urban areas and managing multiple timed deliveries and collections.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage delivery/collection times effectively.
• Full UK Category B Driving Licence.
• Previous freight forwarding or logistics experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good understanding of vehicle weights, legal limits and road traffic regulations.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexible approach to working hours.

• Delivery and collection of customers freight, as assigned by the Transport Office to and from various locations and regions.
• Multi-drop delivery and collections that may involve some home deliveries (B2C).
• Supervise the loading of your vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage.
• Ensure the correct goods and quantity of goods are loaded and unloaded.
• Plan you day and route in the most cost and operationally effective manner.
• Present, process and return customers Delivery Notes.
• Secure and return Proof of Delivery advice notes (POD) electronic and/or manual.
• Inform the Transport Office of any delays to or whilst at work
• Maintain your vehicle (inside and out) in a clean and very tidy condition.
• Greet all customers you meet in a polite and helpful manner and provide excellent customer service.
