Job Title – Warehouse Operative (AM Shift)
Location – Dash Logistix, Cullompton, EX15 3DA
Reports to – Operations Manager
Pay – £12.75 per hour
Shift pattern – Tuesday to Friday 06:00 to 13:00. Saturday 06:00 to 10:00
Purpose
Dash Logistix is a leading logistics provider in the South-West, committed to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence.
As our Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of parcels and goods within the depot. Supporting the early morning operation, you will be responsible for preparing deliveries, organising freight, and ensuring drivers are loaded and dispatched on time.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Using manual handling techniques, a forklift truck and other manual handling aids as appropriate, you will safely load and offload goods to and from vehicles.
- Organise, sort and segregate parcels and freight by route ready for efficient despatch.
- Quality check items and report any defects or damages in line with company procedures.
- Ensure vehicles are loaded safely and efficiently to be dispatched on time.
- Support the warehouse team with other general duties as required maintaining workflow efficiency.
- Ensure goods are handled safely and stored in designated areas.
- Maintain the warehouse to high safety and cleanliness standards.
- Complete daily forklift checks to ensure your vehicle is safe to operate and report any problems to you Line Manager.
- Report any problems to your line manager throughout the day.
- Always follow health and safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
- Experience operating a forklift truck would be great, although full training can be provided.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The physical ability to manually lift and move (sometimes heavy) parcels at a high volume.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to meet early morning start times.
- All of our staff must pass a basic DBS check.
