We are seeking a dynamic, experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to support the design, implementation, and day‑to‑day management of scalable, global IT solutions. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Azure, Office 365 tenants, and tenant‑to‑tenant migrations. You will help ensure stable, secure operations, drive cloud initiatives, and deliver large‑scale Microsoft tenant migrations with minimal disruption to the business. This position demands a solid understanding of modern IT systems, cloud technologies, and M&A integration, along with a continuous‑improvement mindset for operating complex technical environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Monitor all environments to maintain continuity of core business systems (including notification platforms), providing out‑of‑hours support and completing routine maintenance as required.
- Manage cloud and on‑premise infrastructure, including configuring and deploying Azure services and administering Microsoft tenants.
- Deliver tenant‑to‑tenant migrations end‑to‑end, covering planning, execution, validation, and post‑migration optimisation, while minimising disruption to users.
- Provide hands‑on expertise across Azure and Microsoft technologies, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Azure networking, security best practice, and performance/availability optimisation.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to design secure, scalable infrastructure architectures aligned to business requirements across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Lead and contribute to infrastructure projects, driving continuous improvement across the QBS Group.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure incidents and problems, ensuring timely identification, escalation, and resolution.
- Support compliance and security requirements (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, PCI DSS) by applying appropriate controls and partnering with the security team to strengthen risk management and data protection.
- Maintain clear, up‑to‑date documentation for infrastructure, configurations, and procedures, and provide regular updates to senior leadership on system health and delivery progress.
- Support M&A integration by onboarding acquired companies into the QBS portfolio, including migration planning and technical delivery.
- Support messaging and collaboration services (email, messaging, telephony), including security, storage, and archiving, and provide end‑user guidance and training as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ experience in an IT infrastructure role (or similar).
- Proven experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., Entra ID/Azure AD, virtual networks, storage, compute).
- Demonstrable experience delivering Microsoft tenant‑to‑tenant migrations, including planning, execution, and post‑migration optimisation.
- Strong technical background across Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, etc.).
- Experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
- Proficient with PowerShell for administration and automation.
- Experience using ITSM and patching tools (Freshservice and Jira advantageous).
- A track record of supporting M&A activities, including onboarding and integration.
