We are urgently seeking reliable and experienced Warehouse Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join the team at our Stoke on Trent site. This is an immediate start. Simarco takes pride in being a great place to work, offering excellent training and career development opportunities.
Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Applicants must have worked in a logistics/warehouse environment before
- Previous loading/unloading vehicles and experience of operating Counterbalance Forklift truck
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driving licence is essential
- Previous experience in loading international groupage trailers would be an advantage
- Order pick and stock count
- Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills
- Ability to function well as part of a team
- Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety
- Ability to work under pressure
- Punctual, reliable and professional
Compensation:
The role will entail the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of all customers’ goods to ensure they are received and dispatched appropriately and productivity to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Unloading and loading cargo to and from warehouse and vehicles by using a forklift truck, pallet truck VNA MHE or by hand.
- Loading international groupage trailers in accordance with loading plans.
- Pick and pack orders to ensure they are delivered on time and in full.
- Wrap and unwrap of goods.
- Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt.
- Keep careful records of everything that comes in and goes out of the warehouse.
- Daily housekeeping within the Warehouse and site.
