About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and passionate Part-Time Residential Cook to join our team on an interim contract for a minimum of 3 months. You will play a vital role in preparing nutritious, balanced meals for individuals living in a residential care setting, ensuring high standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to people’s daily lives through food and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of home-style meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs
- Plan menus that are balanced, nutritious, and appealing
- Cater for individual dietary requirements (e.g. allergies, cultural, texture-modified diets)
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies
- Work collaboratively with care staff to support residents’ preferences and wellbeing
- Provide a warm, friendly dining experience for residents
