Hourly Fixed salary: £13.00 FIXED TERM - 3 month opportunity with the potential to be extended.

Undertaking a number of manual and inspection tasks, the jobholder will become competent in all assembly and packaging operations, to enable complete flexibility in the production process, whilst ensuring that all production and quality targets are achieved.

Rigorously following written and verbal work instructions:

  • Work in accordance with all health and safety requirements;
  • Assemble and package products that meet required specifications and standards, undertaking inspections at defined stages of the production process;
  • Meet all required production and efficiency targets;
  • Complete all required production/quality records and performance indicators;
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping;
  • Respect waste management procedures;
  • Contribute to identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement (safety, quality, output, cost/efficiency…);
  • Carry out other tasks that support the assembly and packaging operation.

These tasks are not intended as an exhaustive list of the post holder’s duties. The post holder is expected to carry out any reasonable request as deemed appropriate by the Shift Leader to support business needs. Specific responsibilities and authorities are defined in procedures relevant to the role.

Experience:

  • Working in a role where required to meet Quality & Output targets
  • Working in accordance with Work/Quality instructions
  • Working in an Assembly / Manufacturing Environment

Qualifications and training:

  • General secondary or vocational qualifications (e.g. GCSEs, BTEC Certificate..)

Hours of Work:

  • Dayshift - 06:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday with a minimum of 30 minutes paid breaks per shift
  • Two-shift AM - 06:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday with a minimum of 30 minutes paid breaks per shift
  • PM - 14:00 to 23:00, Monday to Thursday with a minimum of 35 minutes paid breaks per shift
  • Friday - 14:00 to 18:00, with a minimum of 10 minutes paid break.
  • Three-shift AM - 06:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday with a minimum of 30 minutes paid breaks per shift
  • Nights - 22:00 to 06:00, Sunday to Thursday, with a minimum of 30 minutes paid breaks per shift
  • PM - 14:00 to 22:00, Monday to Friday, with a minimum of 30 minutes paid breaks per shift

We are currently working Dayshift: 06:00-14:00. An allowance of 10% will be paid when working the PM shift on a two-shift rotation and a 20% allowance will be paid when working nightshift.
