We are recruiting a dedicated and committed Support Worker to join a beautifully presented residential children's home supporting children aged 6-17 years. You'll be supported by an experienced leadership team to provide consistent, trauma-informed care in a safe and nurturing environment. You will work directly with the children to support their physical, emotional and social development while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with a team of Support Workers, collaborating with Senior Support Workers and the leadership team to create a safe, nurturing environment for the children.
- Helping children build positive relationships, develop independence skills, and reach their full educational potential.
- Ensuring the home meets all legislation, including Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, Safeguarding and company policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable groups.
- Willingness to complete a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare and undertake other required training.
- Compassionate, respectful, calm and caring nature.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Reliable, organized and professional – able to demonstrate good team working.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivation to help children achieve positive outcomes.
- Full UK driving licence.
