Are you an HGV Driver looking for a new challenge working in the animal feed industry? We’re on the lookout for dedicated, professional drivers to join our established team at L S Smellie Ltd, based in Strathaven, as an HGV Bulk Blower Driver & Operator.
The Job
You’ll be at the heart of our operations, delivering animal feed to our valued customers. This is more than just a driving job – it’s about being a key player in our supply chain, offering more variety than just motorway driving, and taking on a new challenge that involves operating specialist bulk blowing vehicles in some of our most scenic rural areas.
What you’ll do:
- Operate HGV vehicles to deliver and collect animal feed.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent our brand.
- Ensure full compliance with transport laws and safety standards.
- Maintain vehicles in line with company procedures and legal obligations to ensure optimal fleet performance and efficiency.
- Support the team with flexibility and a proactive attitude.
Skills, Experience and Qualities Required:
- LGV Licence (Essential) (Class 1 desirable).
- Experience in agriculture or animal feed delivery (desirable).
- Flexible, can-do approach to work.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
