People Adviser - Maternity Cover in Southend-on-Sea

We are looking for an experienced People Adviser to join our People Team on a maternity cover for up to 12 months.

You will play a key role in building strong relationships with managers and employees across the business, helping to foster a positive and people-focused culture. Providing high-quality HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, you will offer practical advice and guidance, support employee relations matters, and help ensure our people policies and practices remain effective, compliant, and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Employee Relations (ER) case management
• HR administration and MI reporting
• Policy management and compliance
• Recruitment and onboarding process support
• Payroll administration
• HR projects and process improvement work

What We Need From You:

• Previous experience in HR and understanding of employment law
• Experience in ER case management and improving HR metrics - beneficial
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• A collaborative team player as well as able to work alone
• Able to deal with change effectively
• Able to demonstrate empathy and apply policy
• Experienced in HRIS
• CIPD Qualification
