The HSEQ Compliance Administrator keeps the company's health and safety, environmental and quality systems organised, current and audit-ready. They are the central point for HSEQ records, documentation and reporting, so the HSEQ Manager and operational teams can focus on improving standards rather than chasing paperwork. As the business grows its workforce over the coming years, this role makes sure compliance keeps pace, with new starters trained, records complete and certifications maintained.
Key responsibilities
Health and safety administration
- Maintain the accident, incident and near-miss log, help gather information for investigations, and track corrective actions through to close-out.
- Support RIDDOR reporting by preparing information for the HSEQ Manager to submit.
- Keep risk assessments, method statements (RAMS) and COSHH assessments filed, version-controlled and scheduled for review.
- Coordinate first aid, fire warden and other safety-critical appointments, making sure cover is adequate.
Skills and experience
- Experience in an administrative role, ideally in HSEQ, compliance or a regulated environment.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage deadlines and renewal dates.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Clear written and verbal communication, and the confidence to chase colleagues and suppliers for information.
- Able to handle confidential information discreetly.
