Hollybank School is seeking an exceptional Senior School Nurse to lead and coordinate the delivery of high-quality nursing care for children and young people with profound, complex, and multiple disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to combine clinical excellence with leadership, working within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.

At Hollybank, no two days are the same. You'll play a vital role in ensuring our pupils receive personalised, compassionate healthcare while supporting and developing the nursing and care teams around you.

About the Role

As Senior School Nurse, you will:

  • Lead the assessment, planning, implementation and review of individual healthcare plans.
  • Deliver specialist nursing care for children and young people with complex health needs.
  • Act as a key clinical resource for colleagues, families and external professionals.
  • Supervise, mentor and support nurses, Education Health Care Assistants and support staff.
  • Promote best practice, clinical excellence and person-centred care.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Ensure staff medical training remains current and appropriate to the needs of the school.
  • Support service development, quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance.

What do you need?

  • Registered Children's Nurse (RNC/RN8) or an RNLD with a current NMC PIN
  • Experience leading, managing or coordinating nursing teams
  • Experience developing and evaluating healthcare programmes and care plans
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience supporting children and young people with complex physical, medical and learning needs
  • Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
  • Committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred care
  • Experience managing tracheostomies and long-term ventilation
  • Experience supporting children and young people with epilepsy
  • Experience working within specialist education or disability services
