The Role

This Senior Analyst will undertake strategic research related to ESG and sustainability services and technology, such as sustainability strategy and operational transformation, as well as the emerging role of AI in sustainability services and functions. Excelling in the role requires an enthusiasm for understanding how technology can improve business outcomes, experience in producing high-quality written deliverables, and the ability to contribute to client-facing engagements. Successful candidates will have the ambition to undertake a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research in collaboration with other analysts. Salary opportunity is £60K-£62K, depending on experience level, plus a very generous quarterly bonus scheme.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving research on ESG and sustainability services and software based on the established portfolio of Verdantix methodologies.
  • Deliver presentations, speeches and workshops to external clientele and acting as a subject matter expert on queries.
  • Leading interviews with senior managers at corporations and financial firms, as well as executives at services firms and technology vendors to produce reports and gain an understanding on the wider market.
  • Building quantitative models to size and forecast software and services markets in order to produce reports on technology vendors based on technology briefings.
  • Working with our in‑house advisory team to support client workshops and consulting projects on topics such as sustainability growth strategies and product marketing thought leadership.
  • Attending industry events to help raise the profile of Verdantix in the market.
  • Developing trusted relationships with Verdantix clients and senior industry decision makers.
  • Supporting marketing efforts by writing blogs and engaging in social media activities.

About You

  • An educational background within sustainability and/or technology. A master’s level degree is desirable but not essential.
  • Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years’ experience in working in a professional services firm or a corporate sustainability role, with a preference for candidates who have worked for or with consultants or services firm.
  • Experience in conducting research interviews and contributing to the development of research reports is a plus.
  • Interest in the future of ESG & Sustainability and technology/AI.
  • An inquisitive and analytical mindset in order to generate ideas and solve problems in a unique manner.
  • Proven ability to quickly write high quality reports for a business audience with knowledge of sustainability services or software highly desirable.
  • Quantitative skills and knowledge of Excel to manipulate large data sets and apply basic mathematical concepts.
  • Familiarity with MS office suite (including PowerPoint) to produce client ready analysis and presentations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and team collaboration skills to lead research and run workshops with other members in the team.
