About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sales Executive Apprentice to join our growing commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to build a long-term career in sales while completing a Level 4 Sales Executive apprenticeship, gaining a recognised qualification alongside valuable hands-on experience. You will work closely with experienced sales professionals, receiving structured training, mentoring and support while developing your understanding of Cyber Security Solutions provider, identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with prospective and existing clients. As part of the role, you will gain exposure to the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to meetings, proposals, negotiations and closing opportunities. You will work with a diverse range of clients and industries, developing your commercial awareness, communication skills and professional network. What you’ll be doing?

  • Support the sales team in identifying and developing new business opportunities, including researching prospects and engaging with potential clients.
  • Manage and develop relationships with prospective and existing customers, providing a professional and positive customer experience.
  • Assist with the full sales process, from initial outreach and qualification through to proposals, meetings, negotiations and closing opportunities.
  • Conduct research into prospects, industries and market opportunities to identify potential areas for growth.
  • Work with internal teams to understand client requirements and help develop appropriate solutions and proposals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within our CRM system, ensuring sales activity, opportunities and customer information are recorded effectively.
  • Take part in sales meetings, calls and presentations while developing your confidence in communicating with customers and stakeholders.
  • Work towards your Level 4 Sales Executive apprenticeship, applying your learning directly to your day-to-day role.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who is motivated, personable and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in developing a career in sales. You don't need extensive sales experience. We're more interested in your attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn. You should be confident speaking with people, comfortable building relationships and motivated by achieving goals. You'll be naturally curious, organised and resilient, with the ability to learn from feedback and continually improve your approach.

Our Requirements

  • A strong interest in building a career in sales, business development or a commercial environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with customers and build professional relationships.
  • A positive, motivated and resilient attitude, with the ability to work towards targets and learn from feedback.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and maintain accurate CRM records.

Other skills/qualifications – (Desirable, not mandatory)

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing, sales, retail, hospitality or business environment.
  • An interest in technology, cybersecurity or professional services.
  • Experience using CRM systems or other sales/business software.
  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • A full UK driving licence, if travel to clients or events is required.
