Hours: Full Time Permanent Contract (7am-7pm - 3 shifts one week, 4 the next, to include alternate weekends)

About St Andrew’s Nursing & Care Home:

St Andrew’s is located in the lovely village of Ewerby (5 miles to the East of Sleaford). The home provides personal care, including nursing and dementia care, for 42 residents.

Role Responsibilities of Team Leader:

  • Promoting our resident’s independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing.
  • Leading our team to support the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of our residents by providing the highest standard of care.
  • Supporting our carers to provide personal care and support with daily activities such as washing, dressing and eating.
  • Administering medication.
  • Promoting our resident’s choice, dignity and independence at all times.
  • Ensuring knowledge is gained to demonstrate a good understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse.

Role Requirements of Team Leader:

  • Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., minimum level 3 in Health and Social Care).
  • Minimum of one year’s experience as a Senior Care Assistant in a residential/nursing home setting.
  • Awareness and Experience of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning (writing person-centred care plans).
  • Full Driving Licence and own car.
  • Live within 30 minutes of the home.
  • Leadership and people skills (conducting effective person-centred one to ones).
  • Ability to work under pressure with time management skills.
  • A caring and nurturing attitude with a positive and enthusiastic outlook.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prepared to take on extra training as required.
