Job Purpose
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the role is responsible for providing remedial services to clients. Additionally, the Remedial Plumber may be responsible for leading teams on sites when completing larger projects.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Planning and Organisation
- Planning working day to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently
- Responsible for ensuring equipment is returned to the manager in a timely manner and in good condition
- Keeping Supervisor/Operations Manager up to date with any setbacks
- Site based working
- Work away from time to time, as required by operational needs
- Undertake remedial works as instructed and in accordance with current standards
- Safety
- Promote and communicate standards/information to colleagues and team members
- Follow details provided within method statements and work instructions
- Assess each job for potential hazards to ensure complete safe working practices can be adhered to
- Wear protective items of clothing and use appropriate safety equipment for the job undertaken
- Report any accident, incident, damage or near miss to Supervisor
- Ensure own and colleague safety at all times
- Operational Optimisation
- Ensure contractual responsibilities are observed and adhered to
- Recommend improvements to working practices
- Able to prioritise multiple and varied challenging situations
- Able to work to deadlines and multitask
- Willingness to help out and assist other team members as required
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Gather information from site and present to others
- Accurately complete all site specific records
- Understand detailed work instructions and implement to the required standard
- Provide information to customers as and when required
