We're excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced Care Home Manager ready to take the next step in their career and make a real difference at Winifred Dell Care Home in Brentwood. You would be reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director and supported by a Deputy Manager and a Clinical Manager, as well as the wider team. Ideally, we are looking for someone who is nurse qualified as we grow our nursing offer.
Winifred Dell has 76 bedrooms, 22 of which are nursing - all of which feature en-suite wet rooms and are designed to deliver outstanding care in a family-run environment which supports residents to lead exceptional quality of life, offering residential care, residential dementia care, respite care, end-of-life care, nursing care and dementia nursing care. Currently rated 'GOOD' by CQC.
Hours: 8am – 5pm (Monday – Friday)
About the role of Registered Home Manager:
- Leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the home to ensure high-quality care delivery, compliance with regulatory requirements, and a positive, person-centred culture.
- You will provide direction, leadership, training and support to the team, ensuring that the care provided meets the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents, while maintaining high standards of safety, dignity and respect.
- To fully comply and be accountable for meeting the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009.
- Work to and continue to embed all company policies and procedures along with regulatory and legislative procedures.
- Be responsible for the sales & marketing of the home ensuring maximum occupancy and work within budgets to ensure profitability.
About you:
- Experience within a nursing/care home setting for older people.
- Previous experience as a Care Home Manager leading and developing strong teams.
- Registered Nurse – RGN with active PIN is preferable, however we will consider relevant experience coupled with a Level 5/equivalent qualification.
- Sound knowledge of current CQC Regulations, including the Single Assessment Framework and legislation.
- Good knowledge of care for people with high dependency dementia.
- Passion and drive to continually deliver 'outstanding care'.
- Excellent organisations and planning skills.
- An effective communicator able to deal with external and internal stakeholders at all levels.
