We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Junior Legal Cashier to join our Finance team based in St Albans. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within legal finance. No prior legal cashiering experience is required, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Finance & Cashiering Support: Assist with processing transactions, banking, payments, and account reconciliations; Accurately post receipts and payments while maintaining financial records and documentation.
  • Administrative Support: Respond to finance queries and assist with invoices, expenses, and month-end tasks; Maintain organised digital and physical finance records.
  • Compliance & Controls: Follow financial procedures, SRA Accounts Rules, and internal policies; Escalate discrepancies while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with the Finance team and provide general administrative support; Assist with ad hoc projects and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
  • Comfortable working with financial data and numbers.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Previous experience in finance, accounts, banking, or office administration (desirable).
