As a Quality Engineer at Roq, you’ll ensure the delivery of high-quality testing by applying our Solutions Framework and Q-suite assets. You’ll design and execute test cases, build automated test solutions, and work with cross‑functional teams to validate system functionality. This is a collaborative role where you will work closely with diverse client teams, supporting the full testing lifecycle from discovery and planning through execution and defect resolution.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and create test cases and test data, tracking test cases against requirements, peer review / feedback for other team members, as required.
- Carry out structured test execution across test levels, including functional automation, exploratory and static testing.
- Create and maintain detailed test execution schedules aligned with test estimates.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, technical resources and Subject Matter Experts to ensure test‑ware and coverage are appropriate.
- Perform in‑depth analysis on systems or system components.
- Record test results and collate appropriate test evidence.
- Manage the defect lifecycle: raise, track, retest, and resolve efficiently.
Test Automation (advantageous but not essential)
- Design, build and maintain automated test solutions using standard industry tooling.
Frameworks and Best Practice
- Utilise and champion Roq’s Solutions Framework, underpinned by our Q‑suite of accelerators, enablers and principles (full training will be provided).
Collaboration and Communication
- Work collaboratively with diverse client teams in the execution of all appropriate testing levels.
- Support the growth of Roq by sharing updates and positive Client activities internally and externally.
- When required, support other Delivery team members when working with Marketing and Sales departments for Client workshops, RFPs and discovery sessions.
- Any other reasonable duties deemed necessary by the company.
What We’re Looking For

- Experienced across a variety of development environments, such as Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid.
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and supporting tools, advantageous but not essential.
- Demonstrable object‑oriented programming skills.
- Knowledgeable in CI/CD principles and integrating testing into delivery pipelines.
- An ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level certification is desirable as a mark of professional testing knowledge and discipline.
